The Impact of the Journal of Economics Surveys has Notably Increased!
Â
Thanks to the support of MAER-Net members and their outstanding research, the Journal of Economics Surveys’ impact factor is now 6.6—2025 Clarivate Journal Citation Reports. The Journal of Economics Surveys places comfortably near the middle of the Top 5 due, in part, to the fact that meta-analyses tend to receive more citations than other types of studies. Of course, impact factors are only one of serval relevant metrics, but nonetheless this is good news.
I wish to encourage our community to submit their papers to the Journal of Economics Surveys. However, please carefully review and conform to our Author Guidelines; they contain strict standards about: following MAER-Net reporting guidelines, reporting AI use, and being reproducible through public data and code sharing.  Â
Our success would not have been possible without your research or without the active participation of our Editors:

Pedro R. D. Bom
Hristos Doucouliagos
 Jerome Geyer-Klingeberg
 Tomáš Havránek
 Zuzana Irsova
 Sebastian Gechert
